This morning we’re chatting with Ffion Gruffudd, contemporary clay jeweller, originally from Anglesey who now lives in Cardiff where she runs her business Stiwdio Mwclai.
How long have you been selling on Etsy?
I have been selling on Etsy since about March of this year, after starting to experiment with polymer clay about a year ago. Over Christmas last year I had so many compliments for the jewellery I was wearing, that I decided in January to start working on setting myself up on Etsy.
Other than Etsy where else can we find your work?

Besides Stiwdio Mwclai what else are you known for?
I work full time as a Marketing Executive and Regional Executive for Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent on a youth entrepreneurship project, and run Stiwdio Mwclai in my spare time.
When do you feel the most creative?
I definitely feel the most creative when creating. Polymer clay is such a tactile medium, that the more I play and experiment with it, the more the more creative I feel I become.
And finally, just for fun, Christmas pudding or Yule log?
Yule log all the way!
You’ll find Ffion and her stunning modern statement jewellery at Etsy Made Local this Sunday 3rd December at the Bierkeller Cardiff. You can also find Stiwdio Mwclai here.
